PRESS RELEASE: GNS HAS WON A SUPPORT CONTRACT FROM THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE (NPS) TO FACILITATE C&A ACTIVITIES OF THEIR FACILITY MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE SYSTEM

GNS is proud to announce the award of a support contract to assist the Department of Interior (DOI) National Park Service (NPS), Park Facility Management Division (PFMD) transition and complete their Certification and Accreditation (C&A) program for their key software system, the Facility Management Software System (FMSS) to the new Risk Management Framework for ensuring system authorization. GNS will provide Risk Assessment and an Independent Security Control Assessment of the FMSS. The FMSS is at the heart of the NPS Asset Management Branch and is designed to provide a single point of data collection and analysis to assist the PFMD Program Managers in managing their operations and assets. FMSS is a combination of web applications, database reporting tools, spreadsheets, and several COTS products which allows NPS to track and maintain park assets, locations and work orders service wide.

Steve Sharp will assume the role of Director, Solution Integration (SI). SI will focus on integrating GNS capabilities, staff and experience with selected tools and technology partners to produce repeatable, well-defined solutions with credible business value. According to GNS' EVP , GNS’ Executive Vice President, ‘For GNS this is the logical next step. Logical because all the elements for compelling business solutions exist – our SharePoint Knowledge Repository, our PM Solution nomination process, the tangible results our staff are producing for our customers, our staff professional development program, etc. We now need to focus on bringing these elements together. The SI function will do that.’

US AIR FORCE DESP III MULTI-AWARD IDIQ

GNS is a member of the wining Dynamics Research Corporation (DRC) team on DESP III. DESP III is a multi-award, IDIQ used by the U.S. Air Force to acquire design, engineering and support services. This GNS’s first win in the US Air Force space and offers another vehicle to build DOD experience.


IRS TIPSS-4 CONTRACT VEHICLES

GNS is a member of three winning teams on the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) TIPSS-4 contract vehicles. For the full and open IDIQ called TIPSS-4 ITS, GNS is teamed with Pragmatics. For the small business portion, TIPSS-4 SB, GNS continues its’ partnership with Avineon. For the portion of TIPSS-4 SB focused on cybersecurity (CS) GNS teamed with CSSS.net. TIPPS-4 is the contract vehicle of choice for IRS procurements and being on multiple teams is an important to positioning GNS to continue building qualifications and experience in the financial services industry.


GNS HAS WON AN AWARD UNDER GSA’S RISK MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK BPA

GNS is proud to be one of 14 awardees for the General Services Administration (GSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Information System Security (ISS) Line of Business (LOB) Risk Management Framework BPA. COACT is a member of the GNS team on this strategic win.

DHS owns the ISS LOB and partnered with GSA to develop the BPA. The two organizations worked with a number of Federal agencies and defined requirements that meet a broad range of needs. The BPA is based on NIST 800-37 rev. 1 and offers services representing the key disciplines and functions required to attain and maintain authority to operate (ATO). Additionally, the BPA covers the evolving need for near real-time situational awareness and enterprise risk management via continuous monitoring, implementing automation, and ensuring IT/cyber security is an integral part of the system development lifecycle. Service categories include:
• Categorizing information systems;
• Selecting security controls;
• Implementing security controls;
• Assessing security controls;
• Authorizing information systems; and
• Monitoring security controls;

Additional services include:
• Performing an initial risk assessment;
• Developing contingency plans;

GNS is proud of continuing our “Exceptional” rating for top performance in maintaining compliance with GSA regulations, reporting, maintenance, record keeping, modifications and much more.

The GSA Administrative Report Card rating is based on the contractor's performance in contract compliance, time delivery and lowest possible pricing. The audit addressed over 20 specific contract compliance areas, and only 10% of GSA's contract holders achieve such a rating. GNS achieved this rating as a direct result of the impeccable contract and project records maintained by its contract management team.

GNS, Inc., a leading provider in IT Security services, was awarded a Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) contract to provide professional Information Assurance support services to BEA’s Office of the OCIO in the ongoing maintenance, operations, and modernization of the BEA EITS (Estimation Information Technology System). The multi-year, 1 million dollar contract awarded to Global Network Systems (GNS) starting January, 2011, allows us to provide Information Technology Security Support for all architectural layers (infrastructure, application, data, and management) of the BEA-EITS. DHS requires CBP to maintain an independent enterprise-wide ST&E program. GNS, Inc. received an "Exceptional" rating from U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) for administrative performance against Federal Supply Code (FSC) 70, Information Technology contract GS35F0582M. The GSA Administrative Report Card rating is based on the contractor's performance in contract compliance, time delivery and lowest possible pricing. The audit addressed over 20 specific contract compliance areas, and only 10% of GSA's contract holders achieve such a rating. GNS achieved this rating as a direct result of the impeccable contract and project records maintained by its contract management team.

The three (3) year, multiple-award IDIQ contract has four project areas: 1) Analysis and Design which includes services to assist organizations in IT capital planning and assessments, 2) Development and Integration comprising services such as project management of systems development, 3) Operational Support which includes a broad range of operations and support services, and 4) Staff Augmentation. It is a task order based vehicle that supports Time & Materials (T&M), Fixed Price Project (FPP) and Cost Savings types of task orders and has the potential value of at least $750 million.
