PRESS RELEASE: STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT SERVICES AWARDS CONTRACT TO GNS, INC. TO PROVIDE IT CONSULTING SERVICES

Rockville, MD- September 4, 2009

Today, Global Network Systems (GNS, Inc.), a leading provider in IT security services, was awarded a contract by the FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT SERVICES to provide information technology (IT) consulting services to State Agencies and Other Eligible Users.

The three (3) year, multiple-award IDIQ contract has four project areas: 1) Analysis and Design which includes services to assist organizations in IT capital planning and assessments, 2) Development and Integration comprising services such as project management of systems development, 3) Operational Support which includes a broad range of operations and support services, and 4) Staff Augmentation. It is a task order based vehicle that supports Time & Materials (T&M), Fixed Price Project (FPP) and Cost Savings types of task orders and has the potential value of at least $750 million.

Today, Global Network Systems (GNS, Inc.), a leading provider in IT Security services, was awarded a contract by the maryland department of information TECHNOLOGY to provide professional information technology (IT) consulting and technical services to the State of Maryland.

The 5 year IDIQ contract will provide opportunities for GNS to support the State of Maryland in areas relating to: Enterprise Service Support; Web and Internet Systems; Systems/Facilities Management and Maintenance; Information System Security; Application Service Support; IT and Telecommunications Financial & Auditing Consulting; IT Management Consulting; and Documentation and Technical Writing.

Federal Business Development Manager, Leonie Rael, stated “This contract is an essential vehicle for procuring new business as we expand into more areas of the government market space. I am confident that our expertise and services will continue to make a positive impact on the quality and security of information, business systems, and the critical infrastructure for the State of Maryland as it has with our wide range of Federal customers.”

Global Network Systems, Inc. (GNS) was awarded a Department of Energy (DOE) contract to provide INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION AND VALIDATION (IV&V) SUPPORT SERVICES to the Office of the Chief Information Officer. The contract is valued at 3.5 million over the three (3) year period.

Global Network Systems, Inc., an IT solution provider, specializing in information assurance and systems integration services won an IT Security and Support Services under TIPSS-3 with Avineon team at Bureau of Engraving and Printing on a 5-year based contract.
