GNS HAS WON AN AWARD UNDER GSA’S RISK MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK BPA

GNS is proud to be one of 14 awardees for the General Services Administration (GSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Information System Security (ISS) Line of Business (LOB) Risk Management Framework BPA. COACT is a member of the GNS team on this strategic win.

DHS owns the ISS LOB and partnered with GSA to develop the BPA. The two organizations worked with a number of Federal agencies and defined requirements that meet a broad range of needs. The BPA is based on NIST 800-37 rev. 1 and offers services representing the key disciplines and functions required to attain and maintain authority to operate (ATO). Additionally, the BPA covers the evolving need for near real-time situational awareness and enterprise risk management via continuous monitoring, implementing automation, and ensuring IT/cyber security is an integral part of the system development lifecycle. Service categories include:
• Categorizing information systems;
• Selecting security controls;
• Implementing security controls;
• Assessing security controls;
• Authorizing information systems; and
• Monitoring security controls;

Additional services include:
• Performing an initial risk assessment;
• Developing contingency plans;
• Performing continuous monitoring;
• Conducting Privacy Impact Assessments;
• Conducting e-Authentication risk assessments; and
• Developing incident response plans

Each of the above have sub-categories allowing clients to tailor their procurements to specific needs.

For the second year, GNS, Inc. received an "Exceptional" rating from U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) for administrative performance against Federal Supply Code (FSC) 70, Information Technology contract GS35F0582M. GNS is proud of continuing our “Exceptional” rating for top performance in maintaining compliance with GSA regulations, reporting, maintenance, record keeping, modifications and much more.

The GSA Administrative Report Card rating is based on the contractor's performance in contract compliance, time delivery and lowest possible pricing. The audit addressed over 20 specific contract compliance areas, and only 10% of GSA's contract holders achieve such a rating. GNS achieved this rating as a direct result of the impeccable contract and project records maintained by its contract management team.

GNS, Inc., a leading provider in IT Security services, was awarded a four year DOE contract to provide Information Assurance support services to DOE’s Office of the OCIO in the ongoing maintenance, operations, and modernization of its IT Services. The multi-year, $4 million dollar contract awarded to Global Network Systems (GNS) starting March 2011, allows us to provide broadened management, consulting, and support services with the goal to improve the management, administration, and overall quality of DOE OCIO administrative programs and services. GNS support in the form of reviews and analysis will be provided in six task areas: (1) Program Management Assessment, (2) Risk Management Assessment, (3) Quality Assurance Assessment, (4) Business/Functional Reviews, (5) Technical Assessments and Studies, and (6) Cyber Security.

PRESS RELEASE: BUREAU OF ECONOMIC ANALYSIS AWARDS CONTRACT TO GNS, INC. TO PROVIDE IT POLICY SECURITY AND NETWORKING SUPPORT SERVICES

GNS, Inc., a leading provider in IT Security services, was awarded a Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) contract to provide professional Information Assurance support services to BEA’s Office of the OCIO in the ongoing maintenance, operations, and modernization of the BEA EITS (Estimation Information Technology System). The multi-year, 1 million dollar contract awarded to Global Network Systems (GNS) starting January, 2011, allows us to provide Information Technology Security Support for all architectural layers (infrastructure, application, data, and management) of the BEA-EITS. Specific areas of engagement include: (1) Review and recommendation of IT security policy and documentation, (2) Test and evaluation of IT systems and IT security controls including penetration testing, (3) Recommending upgrades or enhancements to BEA’s IT security components, and (4) implementing the necessary hardware and software components as required to meet new IT security requirements. A CPAR assesses a contractor’s performance and each assessment is based on objective facts and supported by program and contract management data, such as cost performance reports, customer comments, quality reviews, technical interchange meetings, financial solvency assessments, construction/production management reviews, contractor operations reviews, functional performance evaluations, and earned contract incentives. The Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS) is the Department of Defense (DoD) Enterprise Solution for collection of contractor Past Performance Information (PPI) as required by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).

GNS provides quality assurance and oversight to the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) at DOE in four key master areas: Information Technology Management, Systems Development & Engineering, Operations Support and Cyber Security.

DHS requires CBP to maintain an independent enterprise-wide ST&E program.
