Senior Security Specialist

Description:
This is a mid - senior level position for an individual with knowledge and Proven Experience in a variety of information Security practices and disciplines. Require experience in the full development and integration of agency- wide Computer incident response Team. This person will work, alone and/or with the CIRT team.

Experience:
Required:
US citizen or Permanent Resident
knowledge of CIRT Process and documentation
Minimum 4 years of experience in Information Assurance Arena
Excellent speaking, reading, writing and communication skills required.

Preferred, but not required:
Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
Secret or Top-Secret Clearance
3-5 years of experience in Information Assurance

Salary/Benefits:
Base salary negotiable depending on the experience. Plus two possible annual increases during the first year when qualified.

IT Security Specialist [Senior] (Needed: Level III, IV, and V)
Oversees the efforts of security staff to design, develop, engineer and implement solutions to security requirements. Responsible for the implementation and development of Agency IT security. Gathers and organizes technical information about an organization’s mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the MLS arena. Performs risk analyses that also include risk assessment. Provide support to plan, coordinate and implement the organization’s information security. Description: 

 In this position, the candidate will provide an independent, objective, and supportable view of the MEO Cyber Security Operations and the Office of Cyber Security. He or she will provide independent, experienced contractual services for expert cyber security analysis, review, and assessment. He or she will achieve cyber security program goals through development, production, deployment, operations, support, and disposal.

Duties:

* Evaluate the cyber security structure, administration, operations, and program performance when needed

* Anticipate, identify and analyze significant cyber security problems, and suggest timely corrective actions

* Examine critical cyber security issues in management, governance and operations and create practical approaches through resolution and correction

* Assess the effectiveness, structure, administration, and implications for current cyber security programs, policies and processes and recommend changes

* Assess the effectiveness of the coordination and integration of the cyber security activities with MEO and provide independent, expert advice

 * Investigate and report on a myriad of cyber security management, administrative and programmatic issues

Required:

    þ Ability to receive DOE “Q” clearance

 þ Excellent communication skills

   þ Ability to work well in a team environment

     þ 2-3 years experience with IV&V

   þ 5-7 years experience with IT Security

Multiple Intelligence Agency Positions Available - Information Security

Communications/Network Engineer                                     (Needed: Level III, IV, V)

Provides support in the translation of business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, voice and video) requirements, designs, and orders.  Also, provides in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives for government agencies in support of their strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures.  Provides interface support to telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management.

 A minimum of five (5) years experience in network design to include routing switching and network security, and at a minimum, a CISCO Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, from an accredited college or university.

 A minimum of three (3) years experience with CISCO 2800, 3600 and 7500 series routers; and Catalyst 3700 and 6500 series switches; CISCO PIX series firewalls, and the following VoIP equipment; Cisco Media Convergence Server (MCS) 7835, Cisco Call Manager Express bundle, and Cisco Unified IP Phone 7961G, Enhanced Manager Set.

 A minimum of two (2) years experience in implementing VOIP, Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, terminal servers, NTP servers, the following routing protocols , RIP, OSPF, TCP/IP, ATM, BGP, and VOIP, QOS, Gigabit Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, terminal servers.

 A minimum of two (2) years of cable and wire harness fabrication to include 12 pair cabling to EIA530 and RS449, Twinax, coax, CAT 5E, single and multimode fiber optic cables, and the testing and certifying of cables in accordance with current Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) workmanship and quality standards.
